- Jump early, not late. The ragdoll physics mean you travel further than you expect after a jump.
- Position yourself under the hoop before the ball arrives rather than chasing it around the court.
- In two-player mode, do not both chase the ball. One player camping near the basket scores more points overall.
- Scoring in your own basket hands the opponent the point — check which hoop is yours if the court flips.
- Play to eleven and make it a series. The randomness evens out over several matches and it gets genuinely competitive.
About Basket Random
Two ragdoll athletes bounce around an arena that reconfigures between points. You control one; a friend or the computer controls the other. Each player has effectively one action, and the ball's physics are deliberately loose, so scores happen for reasons that are hard to explain afterwards.
The randomness is the point. Platforms shift, the hoop moves, and gravity occasionally appears to give up. That means the skill gap between a good and a bad player is much narrower than in a normal sports game, which is exactly why it works so well for short matches between people who are not gamers.
Matches are first-to-eleven by default and take a few minutes. Rematches are one click, and the game is best played in a series rather than a single round.
